But the inspiration behind Nanalu began far from Hawaiʻi.

An Experience That Changed Our Perspective

During a family trip to New York City, we experienced firsthand how important transportation can be to a journey.After arriving at JFK Airport, our initial ride into New York City was not the experience we had hoped for. We did not feel comfortable, and we did not feel the sense of safety and confidence that travelers deserve when arriving in an unfamiliar place. Before leaving the airport, however, we were approached by a man who was promoting his family's transportation business. He proudly shared information about the father-and-son company and gave us his contact information. At the time, we accepted it without thinking we would actually need it. After our experience getting from JFK to the city, we decided to give him a call to arrange our transportation back to the airport. That decision changed everything. His son arrived promptly to pick us up, and from the moment we entered the vehicle, the experience was completely different. We were comfortable. We felt safe. We could relax. It was more than simply getting from one destination to another. It was the relief of knowing that, during an unfamiliar and sometimes chaotic part of our journey, someone dependable was there to take care of us.
